Dr. Alan Hetherington is a chiropractor who graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 2022 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Before attending CMCC, he studied biology at Hofstra University, competed in NCAA Division I Cross Country on scholarship, and was named to the All-Conference team.
Dr. Hetherington offers a range of chiropractic techniques to provide individualized care for each patient. He uses manual manipulations, muscle release therapy, flexion-distraction table, exercise rehabilitation, and activator to help his patients achieve better health and wellness. He also has extensive experience managing ankle/foot pain and running-related sports injuries.
Dr. Hetherington is passionate about helping his patients reach their goals and achieve a balanced healthy lifestyle. He believes in individualized patient care and takes the time to understand each patient's unique needs.
Beyond his work as a chiropractor, Dr. Hetherington is also involved in community sports. He serves as a medical coordinator with Pickering Football Club, where he works with teams from grassroots to League 1 Ontario Premier. He has also served as Team Chiropractor for Durham Dragons Track and Field Club.
When he's not working with athletes or helping his patients, Dr. Hetherington enjoys staying active himself. He trains for half-marathons, plays hockey, attends Toastmasters, and spends time outdoors.
